There are other ones that aren't here which could maybe be more niche-y or, a lot of times new ones don't show up on the most popular or highest ranked pages, so you might want to search newest too (or every once in a while).įull Bucket's Bucket Pops is fun (though again, specialized as a drum machine, but way cool) and Vital is new and pretty well received. But most of them on the first page are all great synths to have. Same with things by 'major' manufacturers like NI.

Mono/Fury is the first Full Bucket one listed and they have a ton of really great synths.Īfter the first page, more of them start to get into specific things - guitar, or piano, or drums, and so on, so they're more specialized.

I've not tried XHip or Kaira tune - the others above (and Alchemy) seemed to cover those bases so I didn't see the need. I mean, it's up there with the best of them in terms of versatility (the other stuff thus far tends to focus more on one type of synthesis, and things like that). The other TAL stuff is all 32 bit so probably won't work for you. OB XD is really nice but there is a free one out there floating around. Sounds pretty darn close in most cases (if not identical in many). TAL Noisemaker is simple, but still has great sounds.ĭexed is an FM synth and will load DX7 patches. Tyrell Nexus 6 is really good (any with that 'emblem' is an award and U-He has great synths so they're all worth trying so I'm not going to mention them anymore) Synth 1 is sketchy on my system but it's a classic if you can get it to run - all kinds of patches available online.Ĭrystal works and is great. There are some awesome free synths out there.
